Sustainable resources promote wellness through shared interests in protecting the environment, caring for campus, and advancing ÍøÆØÍø’s future in sustainable ways.
- ​The Office of Sustainability —The Office of Sustainability is dedicated to the science and practice of urban ecology and campus-wide sustainability initiatives. The office aspires to engage every area of ÍøÆØÍø’s campus—from academics to operations and beyond—in gaining a fundamental understanding of sustainability for a more environmentally resilient, economically viable, and equitable society.

- The Farm at ÍøÆØÍø—The farm’s mission is to serve as an example of sustainable urban farming for ÍøÆØÍø and the Indianapolis community by teaching the interconnectedness of life, the importance of food security, and the methods of growing local foods through organic farming. - Volunteer —ÍøÆØÍø has several opportunities to volunteer in sustainability student groups, including: , , and Green Council.
- Facilities—This department, within the Office of Operations, partners with members of the ÍøÆØÍø community to provide high quality and cost-effective planning, design, construction, project management, maintenance, custodial, grounds, event setup, and environmental health and safety services.
- Environmental Health and Safety—Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) works to ensure that ÍøÆØÍø is in compliance with local, state and federal laws.
- Sustainability Initiatives Across Campus —Strives to make sustainability a priority across campus from the inception of new projects to the improvement of current practices.
- ÍøÆØÍø Green Council – The mission of the ÍøÆØÍø Green Council is to create developmental and educational opportunities for involvement of the student body in sustainability discourse and projects and to inform and support sustainable development as a priority on ÍøÆØÍø’s campus. - —This fund allows us to achieve this goal through providing collaborative food sustainability initiatives and projects at ÍøÆØÍø. We want to invite students, classes, and entities (such as the The Farm), to partner with us to increase sustainability on issues related to food, and then feast upon the innovative and creative ideas that come about as a result. We chose FEAST so we can focus not just on funding, but also on celebrating these collaborations and partnerships through the applicants’ presentations, winners’ plaques, and year-end awards and celebratory dinners.
- Smoking Policy—Applies to all ÍøÆØÍø property including: all buildings, parking structures, and walkways on ÍøÆØÍø’s campus, as well as University vehicles and privately-owned vehicles parked on University property. The policy applies to: students, faculty, staff, contractors, vendors, and visitors to all University properties.
- Transportation—This is a comprehensive site on transportation needs, including information on driver’s licenses, public transportation, and ÍøÆØÍø transportation.

Through the Green Office program, ÍøÆØÍø employees are empowered to incorporate sustainable practices in the workplace for energy efficiency, cost savings, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and employee wellness all while supporting a more sustainable ÍøÆØÍø community.
